Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport
On arrival into the country, DOVE DELIGHT TOURS representative will meet you at Kilimanjaro International airport. After greetings and welcoming procedures, your guide will drive you to a reputable hotel in Arusha city for dinner and overnight. Welcome to an unforgettable land, the “Geneva of Africa”.Make sure to relax, and get a good night’s rest in preparation for your ultimate life time safari within the next few days.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
On day 2, after breakfast and briefing, you depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is known for its majestic long-life baobab trees, largest herds of Elephants, and tree-climbing Pythons. After 2 hours’ of successful drive we’ll arriveTarangire main gate, and the game drive commences as soon as entry procedures are completed. The park has well-designated picnic areas where you can enjoy your picnic lunch in communion with nature.
After a lunch break, you will proceed with another game drive until evening. During the game drive you get to see animals including Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Lesser Kudu, Buffalos, Oryx, Elands, Giraffes, Zebras, and many bird species. The presence of the Tarangire River supports a huge number of animals especially during the dry season as it is the main source of water.
After the game drive your guide will take you to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
Today you will take an early breakfast and get ready for an exploration of Serengeti National park. The park is famous for the annual movement of the great migration animals including the wildebeests, Zebras, Gazelles, and Impalas. Serengeti has the best-designated picnic sites where you will enjoy your lunch in the park. After lunch, you will go for a half-day game drive and the opportunity to explore big games amongst which are predators. In the evening, your guide will drive you to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
The next day after breakfast (day 5), you will have a full-day game drive to explore the endless plains to their fullest. Depending solely on the season of the year, you might see the migration herds. Other animals that you may see during the game drive are lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, rhinos, antelopes, and many bird species.
After the game drives your guide will take you to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 : Serengeti National Park (Full day game drive)
On day 4 you get to explore the plains of central Serengeti also known as Seronera for a full-day game drive. Relish the vastness of this park commonly known as “the unforgettable endless plains land” along with some of the best wildlife viewing opportunities that Serengeti has to offer.
During the game drive, you will get to see many animals including the herds of Elephants, Zebras, Buffalos, Hyenas, Giraffes, Cheetahs, Lions, and Leopards just to mention a few.
After breakfast, your guide will drive you to a Lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you depart for Ngorongoro Crater one of the World’s natural wonders. The presence of year-round water supply supports the life of many animals that are dwelling in this area. With over 600m deep, the crater is home for the ‘big five’ animals such as elusive Leopards, Lions, rare black Rhinos, herds of elephants, and Buffalos. Other animals to see include Zebras, Hippos, Jackals, and Antelopes.
The crater is the perfect place to spot many bird species including Flamingos, storks, sacred ibis, Kori bustard, blacksmith plover, long-necked heron, and cattle egrets. By midday, you should be hungry and looking forward to enjoy your lunch on the crater floor before proceeding with the afternoon game drive.
After the game drive, your guide will take you to Karatu for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Lake Eyasi (Cultural exploration)
After breakfast depart for Tarangire National Park with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive. Tarangire is known for its majestic long-life baobab trees, large herds of Elephants, and tree-climbing Pythons. Upon arrival at the park entrance, check-in procedures will be completed, immediately followed by the game drive. In the afternoon you get to enjoy your lunch in one of the special designated areas before continuing with afternoon game drives until evening.
The Tarangire River crosses the Park and supports a huge number of animals especially during the dry season as it is the main source of water. During the game drive, watch out for animals such as Lesser Kudu, Buffalos, Oryx, Elands, Giraffes, and Zebras and also experience the adventures from predators such as Lions, Cheetahs, and elusive Leopards.
After the game drive your guide will take you to a lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Karatu Mto Wa Mbu Tours
After breakfast, you will have a short journey to Mto wa mbu. You will have a chance to explore many adventures including biking tours, walking tours, a visit to Maasai bomas. On this tour you get to meet with the locals and learn how banana beer is produced, as well as a visit to Makonde woodcarvings. If you are looking for utmost experiences with cultural explorations then Mto wa Mbu is the best place to visit.
After an exhaustive but rewarding day your guide will take you to a Lodge in Arusha town for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Departure Day
Congratulations on completing this circuit with great experiences and life-time adventures. Today is a relaxing day and the best time to say goodbye to the Geneva of Africa. Depending on your departure flight schedule you may opt to relax or go for a city tour before being escorted to the Airport for your flight back home.
